Noir Gaze is a sleek and modern fashion blog combined with an e-commerce platform, focused on curating high-end fashion insights and offering an array of chic and contemporary fashion items. The site is a blend of content creation and retail, appealing to a fashion-forward audience.
Objective:
The main goal of Noir Gaze was to create a visually appealing and user-friendly platform where users could engage with fashion content while also shopping for the latest trends in fashion. The website needed to reflect a sophisticated, editorial aesthetic while maintaining ease of use, particularly for browsing and purchasing products.
Your Role:
The project involved complete design and development of the website, integrating both blogging functionality and a seamless shopping experience.
My role included:
UI/UX Design: Developing a visually engaging and easy-to-navigate interface.
Front-End Development: Using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a responsive and interactive user experience across devices.
E-commerce Integration: Setting up and customizing the e-commerce platform to allow for product listings, cart management, and checkout.
Content Management System (CMS): Implementing a CMS to allow the client to easily update blog posts and product listings.

Challenges & Solutions:
Challenge: Combining two distinct functions (blogging and e-commerce) without making the user experience feel cluttered or overwhelming.
Solution: We created a clean, minimalist design where the fashion blog and the e-commerce sections complement each other. Category filters and clear navigation were added to allow users to switch between content and shopping effortlessly.
Challenge: Mobile responsiveness, ensuring the visual elements and e-commerce functionality work seamlessly on various devices.
Solution: Mobile-first design principles were used, along with thorough testing to ensure performance across smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
